I’ve known Lauren for almost 8 years now. Wow, time flies. In those 8 years, we’ve supported each other through new jobs, the birth of my 2nd child, opening new businesses and my new studio, car accidents, new relationships, the end of others…the list goes on.
We’ve also empowered countless women with the work we do in my boudoir photo studio. Lauren has been with me as a hair & makeup artist the longest of my beauty team. She is now expecting her 3rd child. When she shared the news of this pregnancy, almost 9 months ago now, my immediate thought was ‘OH MY GOD! I GET TO PHOTOGRAPH YOUR BEAUTIFUL PREGNANT BODY!’ Ha! We put her name on my calendar right away.

I absolutely LOVE having the ladies of my beauty team in front of my lens. They allow me to “play” and try new things, and I’m able to pamper and empower them, like they do so well for our clients.
The late morning of this session, Lauren applied her makeup in The Beauty Room at the studio as I scarfed down an egg salad sandwich while we caught up on how business was doing, how baby Sofia has been laying low lately and just our usual easy going back & forth. I appreciate & adore the ease of our relationship so much. There’s never an awkward silence between us. It’s easy…and comfortable.
